Jacek's Mill

According to local legend, the origins of the establishment date back to 1885. Franciszek Foltin (son), a printer and bookseller from Wadowice, supposedly won money playing cards and a million bricks, from which he built a new building. Initially, he planned to start a printing house there, but ultimately it became the home of a factory producing shoe pegs and tubes
for electrical wiring. Next to it, a sawmill was established.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the factory was taken over by Bernard and Salomon Barber. The company was known as the First National Factory of Wood Products, whose main specialty was American wooden shoe pegs.
